  We are a family of seven, 5 adults and two boys. We selected the condo because of its location right on the beach, with a swimming pool for the boys and an elevator because one of us uses a walker. We stayed three nights and enjoyed it. Its location and elevator were excellent and the swimming pool, though not well cleaned was put to constant use.
  
  However, we were disappointed with the condition of the property, the result of shoddy housekeeping and little if any maintenance.
  
  There was dust everywhere and cobwebs were seen hanging from many light fixtures. The shower curtains had mold and the bed linens had dog and human hair. Considering that we were charged $200 for linens one would expect them to be new or well packaged. If we rented the condo again we would bring our own linens. And, despite of the outsized charge the supply included only one kitchen towel.
  
  Most of the soap dispensers in the kitchen and bathrooms were empty. There were no pillows in the bunk bed room on floor 2. There was no salt and pepper or any other condiments in the kitchen. Lampshades and electrical sockets were broken or pulled away from the wall.
  
  The jacuzzi water was dirty. The property manager knew this but didn’t arrange to have it cleaned until the afternoon of second day of our stay. The front door key lock did not work when we arrived. There was a missing slat on one of the entrance stairs. And the refrigerator’s water/ice dispenser did not work. This issue had been reported in several earlier reviews of the property but apparently never repaired

  This is our annual family beach week. Overall the house, location and amenities were good. The beds were comfy, the WiFi worked beautifully, we loved the pool and hot tub and the easy access to the beach. The laundry facilities were fine and the towels were plentiful. We like to have game nights and work puzzles...the living area and furniture was quite amendable for this.
  We love the close proximity to the Tiki Bar and market. This was our second year visiting this bar. The karaoke was fun because the kids could participate. Overall we were pleased with the property, management and amenities. The elevator was a blessing and worked well. I would consider renting it again next summer and recommend it to a friend.

  My group of friends and I have been coming to Topsail for years and we finally found a house that hit all our “must haves.” Layout of the house was great and we appreciated the roomy and open common areas, it allowed us all to be in one place without tripping over each other or feeling claustrophobic. The view was FANTASTIC, honestly the photos don’t do it justice, it’s way closer to the waves than it appears. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well organized and had almost everything you need to prepare large meals (a hand mixer and a crockpot would be helpful in the future) but I did appreciate the ample cabinet space to store our own items. The home was tastefully decorated without being cluttered. Pool, hot tub, and elevator were extras we never thought we needed but enjoyed so much we may never be able to give them up.
  
  In the spirit of honesty, there were a few very minor cons, but nothing that would deter us from renting this lovely property again. 1. We wish the ice maker in the fridge would have been connected and functional, but nothing a few Dollar Store ice cube trays couldn’t solve. 2. The elevator did work but was tricky and sometimes had a mind of its own. We had more than a few moments where we couldn’t get it to leave the ground floor or we panicked and thought someone was stuck inside. 3. I realize these properties often have to have a quick turnaround and things can get overlooked, but I wouldn’t say it was the cleanest when we moved in. We found spaghetti (we hope) stains on the wall, hair that wasn’t ours in the bathrooms, dust bunnies for days when we pulled out the trundle bed, and the washing machine is moldy and has a pretty strong smell. But they do leave an available closet with some cleaning supplies so those were mostly fixable issues.

  Really liked the property and there are more good things to say about our experience than bad; however, there were a couple of things that could have been better. We vacation with our pets and our Great Dane recently had surgery to repair her torn ACL so it was important for us to have an elevator. When we arrived, the elevator was inoperable but the management company fixed the issue within 24 hours. Also, the refrigerator did not produce filtered water or ice so we had to buy both for the entire trip. Management sent over a repairman but said it was something more complicated than he could handle. I suggested that the water was likely not turned on and he said he did not feel comfortable taking that on. So, I pulled the frig out and, sure enough, the water valve was not turned on. I let the management company know and they said to turn it back off immediately since there was a known leak. Really? They offered no fix.
